Back from vacation

Just got back from a quick little break visiting Miami on Christmas Eve, San Juan, Puerto Rico for Christmas day and more, Portland, ME for family and Boston for New Years eve.

South Beach was surpisingly quiet for a Christmas Eve. I would really have expected more people out that night. After having visited an AJAX powered site
we discovered Macarena at 4am, which was full and a blast. After being in Europe for the past year it was great with an authentic latin night club.

San Juan is as always a great place with suprisingly few tourists see my pictures on Flickr. Fantastic food (Mi Casita in Isla Verde rules), architecture, nature and ambience.

It was also cool visiting my family. Saw my Mom, my Grandparents and Aunt for the first time in I think 3 years. Portland, ME. has really changed from the eighties when I knew it better. The waterfront area is filled with great bars and restaurants. We were pleasantly suprised.

Boston was fun for new years eve especially on Copley Square. The low point was trying to find clubs/bars afterward. You needed a pre purchased ticket for everywhere on Lansdown road. Almost everywhere closes at 2AM (Come on Boston, 2AM!!!)
